I've been wanting something by Arantza for awhile now and came across this while looking in her gallery and just really loved how it looked from the colors to the Beauty and softness of it. When you read what she has said in the top of her CAF page, this sums up what she does and so while I was emailing with her, I asked her if there was anything behind why she created this piece and this was her response:

"I love doing the little things very carefully, because the result is always worthwhile.
Sienna does not have a specific idea behind it. Just wanted to make a particularly subtle work, and used cakes (they rarely do) I think it's my most delicate piece, in the treatment and color work, that is all I wanted to get, as if she were not human, but something much more ethereal ."

In my humble opinion, I think she more then accomplished what she set out to create. Arantza was also an absolute pleasure to talk with and she shipped the art out very quickly from Spain. Sienna is 19.1 X 13.2 done in pastels.
