DescriptionGrowing up in the 1970's meant experiencing this amazing, oversized volume and reading it, while sprawled out on the floor Absorbing every detail with the hungry eyes of a kid that had never before witnessed Marvel character going up against a DC character. Since Spider-Man was my favorite character and Ross Andru drew the definitive Spider-Man for me, begging my neighbor to let me borrow this whenever I could was reflex.Nobody drew maniacal better than Ross and I was always particularly drawn in by his depiction of JJJ. When this page popped up as a possibility to own, I jumped. Not only do I get Ross Andru's take on the always dynamic interactions between Peter Parker and editorial, but it comes with Dick Giordano's inks and some very obvious John Romita touch-ups to several faces on the page! Those JJJ tantrums were epic and this is another great artistic example of poor Peter Parkers string of bad luck. !

YAAHH! Glad to see this page find it's way home. I loved the way Peter would send JJJ into fits and this is a great example. Didn't know Romita worked on this = BONUS to an already great page. Congrats!

An epic page from an epic book. I was more from the JR SR camp, but Ross was a great artist..seeing him with Dick G inks is sweet.

Typical JJJ. He attacks Peter, when no one on his editorial staff bothered saying, "Do you think any of these pictures are worth printing?" Think about it. Who developed the pictures? Who laid out the page? Who made the plate? How many people on the Bugle staff could have said something before this went to print?
I loved this book, just like you, when I was a kid. How awesome it must be to hold one of the original pages. Congratulations!

Regarding your pertinent questions, would you want to risk getting throttled by a maniac?

You'd think whoever caught it would be a hero to JJJ for not letting him be embarrassed. Then again, the staff may have realized over time only Peter will get throttled, so just let it go. Punk-a** kid!
