Wesley Dallas Merritt does his sketches on this stock that has a pre-printed frame on it, then he draws the character and colors it with markers. As an unusual enhancement, he adds a single jewel somewhere on the character, usually as a nose ring but sometimes as a belly ring. It just makes it unique. He also adds tattoos and such to the drawings sometimes, so it's very interesting to see what he does.
