This Reed Crandall page is from Classics Illustrated Special #147A "Crossing the Rockies". Reed Crandall was assisted by George Evans on the art according to the
"Overstreet Price Guide"-(both EC & Warren artists).Reed Crandall is best known for his stunning work on "Blackhawk",but it was the GoldKey/Charlton," Flash Gordon" & Tower comics,THUNDER AGENTS, art I remember first seeing. Amazing talent from both these fine artists...thanks to Brett Bjornsrud for the trade & the info on the art.

Considering the low page rate at Classics Illustrated a considerable amount of quality work was produced over the years. I suppose that talented artists like Reed Crandall and George Evans just couldn´t cut any corners. This is a very fine example.
