This is original art from Kent Williams for a ten-page SANDMAN story written by Neil Gaiman. The story first appeared in VERTIGO PREVIEW #1, and is featured as the first tale in THE SANDMAN: FABLES AND REFLECTIONS collection. Page 8 of the story includes five panels, and this art features the original art for the bottom two panels of that published page. So essentially this is the original art for a half-page from that SANDMAN story. Was originally owned by two-time Hugo Award-winning artist John Picacio, who bought it from Kent Williams at an SDCC before his pro career began. Upon this occasion, the art was inscribed, "To John -- San Diego 1994"
