I have read now a couple of articles on UV protected glass and I am not sure even that is enough to protect these paints that are now mostly over 50 years old. Many articles say the buyer may be being mislead into thinking that UV protection blocks out all light. Obviously it doesn't or you wouldn't be able to see the painting. It would seem that if you can see the art then you are doing damage to your paintings. I know I don't like this either.

Specifically:

Turok Digest has fading on the dinosaurs leg. Strange.

The Magnus 1 is subtle but you can see the frame burn. Go to heritage auctions to see full extent of frame burn. I have been unable to post the full piece here. I am still trying.

The Space Family Robinson has lost some of its bright coloring as has the Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea.

Again please please please if you have this art out on display take it out of the frame and at least look at it and seriously scrutinize it for fading and/or burn and compare it to a near mint comic. These paintings just will not tolerate any type of light, it seems.

Welcome any input on how to fix this problem or what does work to allow you frame the paintings and leave them in light.
