Description

The alien elder god Cthulhu was created by author H.P. Lovecraft in the 1928 short story "The Call of Cthulhu" and has gone on to become an iconic figure of chaos and insanity in the horror genre. This stunning illustration of Cthulhu is by talented artist Ben Granoff, a fellow Lovecraft fan. Granoff has been working on a comic book adaptation of another Lovecraft story, "The Dunwich Horror." Granoff drew this, appropriately enough, at a New York Comic Con after-party held at the Lovecraft Bar, located at 50 Avenue B in Manhattan.
