I found out about the Comic Arts Brooklyn show last night and spent a couple of hours there today. I hadn't realized it was the same kind of show as the independent comic event I went to in 2011. It was even the same building, although I think they had more vendors. I don't remember the lower floor being open.

I'm glad Claire remembered me from MoCCA Fest in 2013 when I last saw her. She even remembered the sketch she did for me then.

Sugar was part of a duo alongside Spice, a moderately reoccurring villainess in Astro City. Spice has the leather dominatrix thing going on while Sugar had more a frilly lingerie and sweets theme. The thing is, when Astro City was originally published back in the 90s, Sugar was already dead. There was mention of Spice seeking revenge for her death. In the current Vertigo volume, a flashback sequence finally depicted Sugar on-panel for the first and most likely only time.
