CHRIS REEVE SUPERMAN THE MOVIE Program cover 3D shadowbox paper sculpture 2016
Based on the SUPEERMAN THE MOVIE movie program book cover, this is a 3D Shadowobox Paper Sculpture featuring Christopher Reeve. This was done for a client who is giving it as a Christmas gift and not available for sale.
The 3D work took about 20 hours using 20 color laser printouts of an internet image and about 20 hours. I did have an original copy of the booklet to scan having it left over from when I had previously done a 3D of it back in 1979, but it had aged soemwhat and not quite as brightly colored. Hence I preferred using the internet image.
Most of the 3Ds I made are one of a kind. I do not mass produce. I might do this in 3D again two or 3 times if it is creatively or financially worth my while to do so.
