Beast’s Office

Evolution has been prominent part of my life this year. I'm just finishing teaching it as a course at my university, and I really enjoyed this semester's students. In addition, my son's nursery is evolution-themed...complete with dinosaurs transitioning into birds and proto-whales galore! From the comics perspective, Beast is the perfect choice to represent evolution, as (1) his secondary mutation illustrates atavism, and (2) he's the scientific brains behind Marvel's merry band of mutants!

Joseph Cooper was the illustrator of "Deadpool's First Baby Book Vol. 1"...and my baby is named after Deadpool. Joe really knocked it out of the park on this commission, which he finished in less than a week! It's on its way to my door now...and I can't wait to see this baby in person :).
