Description

This was a birthday gift from my friend Aruka over on tumblr.

The Elise Kimble Persuader is one of my favorite Titans villains mainly because of the unexpected Legion connection. She was a member of Clock King's Terror Titans, and was given the Persuader identity after being told she was an ancestor of the original Persuader from the 31st Century. Elise was adored by her father, but one day he unexpectedly left when she was a little girl. She grew up with an abusive mother, and the abandonment from her father turned Elise into a hardened contract killer... while she was still in high school. Clock King promised to reunite Elise with her father if she followed his orders, and he did. It turned out Elise's mother drove her dad away, and the reason he didn't take Elise with him was because she was a dependent and worth money. Her mom threatened she'd make it look like Elise's father was abusing them, and he didn't want to put Elise through the ordeal of living life on the run. After reuniting Elise with her father, Clock King immediately killed him.

Elise's only other appearance after the end of the Terror Titans miniseries was in the last two issues of Teen Titans where she appeared as a member of Superboy-Prime's new Legion of Doom. She was handpicked as Ravager's opponent. This made sense in a way since Elise was more or less a foil to Rose Wilson. Elise loved her dad and his absence was one of the factors that turned her into a murderer. Rose hated her father and his presence in her life led to her transformation into a killer thanks to her dad manipulating and drugging her.
