"Hope You Guess My Name" (Delirium) by Michael Zulli (The Endless of Sandman)

I was pretty late to the game on Sandman so tracking down original pieces by the creative team has been daunting, expensive and mostly unattainable for a collector on my kind of budget.

The art on the last arc in particular struck me as immensely powerful; so I went a little bit down the rabbit hole in search of something from Michael. I was fairly unfamiliar with Zulli's work as he doesn't have the same clout as Kieth, Bachalo, Kelly Jones, Thompson, Vess, Williams III, etc. But his career has seemed to lead to "higher" art akin to Dringenberg so, while he isn't as known in comics, his art has retained a high value in galleries and art exhibitions.

With a bit of digging though, I found an Etsy shop with a few of his pieces being sold by a personal friend, Karen. I run a shop on the site as well, so we have chatted a bit about strategies of selling vintage and soon found a common ground on a payment plan for this piece.

This is an exceptional mixed media piece which utilizes pastels and measures around 12x18. It is one of the most stunning pieces in my collection and I'm happy to have lucked out and found it. Now I have to put down the cash to get it professionally framed!
