Description
Eldar Koah counsels Aquaman that Mera must undergo series of trials to prove her worthiness to become queen of Atlantis. This doesn't sit well with Arthur who angrily dismisses Koah.

You can see the concern in Aquaman's expression carried over from the previous page in the first two panels. The subtlety of Eaton's pencils can be seen in the disdain of Kaohs face as he discusses Mera's heritage and the need for her to prove her worthiness betray that his visit is more about his xenophobic feelings rather than her character. And finally the anger of Arthur's expression and body language as Koah reacts with fear at having just incurred his king's wrath.

I also own the finished inks.
