Description
So I'm chatting away with Simon Coleby and saying how much I loved the reveal in Prog 1807 (no spoilers in case you've never read it, it really was a bit special) and he said. Oh I think I have that page today. I picked my jaw off the floor as I assumed someone would have snapped it up an age ago. So we dig through his file of wonderful art and lo and behold there it is... except different.

He explained he'd not been happy with the Dredd figure in the original (and published) version of this page. He therefore redrew the whole page, tracing most of the top panel (its very close to the published version but there are very subtle tiny differences) but redrew Dredd. He then cut out and attached the bottom three panels and sent the new version in.

For whatever reason, mistake or choice Simon wasn't sure) they went with his original version. As such this page is actually not as published and as close to it as possible and for such an important page (in my eyes) in 2000ad's history it has an interesting story and I'm so chuffed and as I say very surprised, I've been able to get hold of it.

...now all I need is the Henry Flint page that proceeds it, if anyone has it and fancies selling!

A wonderful page. Simon Coleby's art is something else, isn't it. And always nice to snag a page that has special meaning. Something to treasure.
