DescriptionThe second Batman comic I bought was #244 in 1972 (the one with the iconic shot of Batman lying in the desert with a sword in his chest with Ra’s al Ghul looking on demonically). The back-up story was a more peaceful story without a villain. Dick Grayson takes a wayward youth under his arm and tries to play “Big Brother” to him. I loved this page because it has such a positive, hopeful message in the end. Written by Mike Friedrich, who, amazingly, was himself of college age at the time.Social/Sharing |
