Description

I went to this year's Big Apple Con but I didn't really have the money to splurge like I usually do at this show, so I only acquired 3 sketches, one DC and two Marvel. Howard Chaykin was the first guy I saw for a sketch, and he didn't like my first two suggestions for characters so I went to the more recent idea I had.

Godiva was a villain from the Wolfman/Perez Titans era, and what set her apart from the other bad guys was her more comedic nature while still being totally insane. Godiva was a mercenary who claimed her parents were royalty, and was a huge a narcissist. She had a series of henchmen she named Video follow her around and film her every move so she could watch the footage of herself later. She built multiple palaces, each identical, around the world, and was known to kill her other workers if she ever caught them smoking or eating red meat in her vicinity. Godiva's main power was to take control of someone's mind, which she'd use to make people fight each other so she could escape. She developed an attraction to Cyborg and frequently used her power to take hold of his mind, kissing him and making comments about how gorgeous she thought he was (which yes, was gross, and the only reason I would get a sketch of her is because she never went further beyond kissing).
