The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild

This is a first for me; I've never been commissioned to draw a video game character before. Further I haven't played The Legend of Zelda since the third video game back in the early 90s and only remember that 80s cartoon for reference (i.e. "Hey! Excuuuuuse me, Princess!") This is the legendary defender of the elfen princess, Link, walking across the field ready to draw the Master Sword armed with the Hylenian Shield. And in the background is an ethereal representation of the beautiful Princess Zelda. I was conveying the sense that this warrior is ready to charge into battle for the love of his life on his mind. The client loves it and that's all that matters. I also used - in addition to the usual media (inks, copics, liquid white gel, colored pencil) - paint thinner as a means to blend the Prismacolor background. It's a trick I learned off of YouTube. I find that the use of the Bienfang is more useful for blending tones with my copics. This 9 x 12 worked out better with that medium better than it would have with Strathmore. I aim to reuse the paint thinner technique for further projects. This is my most challenging and also quickest commission I've ever completed and I'm thankful that it was successful.
