Description"Homeland Insecurity", or "Melee in Monopolis" (maybe I'll use that one another day). A deeper look into the Public Defender, his city, his motives, and a grudge match with someone he actually hadn't met yet, the current National Guardian. That name had previously belonged to one of PD's mentors, a hero since the 1950's who went missing a few years before this story opens. The new National Guardian's methods tarnish the legacy of the 1st NG, And his excessive force against political dissent is unacceptable to PD. I was very pleased that Trevor agreed to come back after illustrating the shorter story featuring Super Charge. As did award winning multi-media artist and designer Joe Castro on coloring, letters, and production. This issue won the appropriately named Shield Award in 2016 for the superhero category from Comics Underground Distribution (CUD).Social/Sharing |
