Wolverine 03

He's the best there is at what he does, and what he does isn't very nice. Following the demise of the mutant known as Wolverine, I was inspired to give Canada's most famous X-Man another go on the drawing board. Etched on 9 x 12" with mixed media, I went for a more fiercer pose for Wolverine. Bare-chested, claws Snikt'd, and ready for battle. I also incorporated Prismacolor pencil to bring out more of the details on the face and his musculature. I also went further with my colored pencil work and etched the Japanese portrait behind Logan (sans the copic-rendered frame) entirely in Prismacolor with paint thinner added to blend the colors better. It created a beautiful tapestry-esque rendering. I also had to iron and flatten the page, which explains the minor but totally negligible creases. I have to say that this is one of my best renderings of Wolverine to date. Nuff said.
