Description

This is something a friend did on a slow day at work. It's actually the 2nd part of a two parts series he did about work. If I'm ever involved in any kind of violence I�m sure they�ll point to this.

This is from a different time though... it�s well before computers were even a part of working in the graphic arts field. Then, if you wanted to get stuff done, the copy had to go to a typesetter first who set the type. You�d lay out the ad cutting and pasting (using a waxer) on non-repro blue ruled sheets. If something didn�t work well or didn�t fit more often than not you took the offending block of copy and blew it up or down using a stat camera.

As labor intensive as that sounds now, I can look back on that fondly.

A Behensky Double Truck is an automotive dealership ad. These involved lots of superscript characters (for pricing) and blocks of copy with tabs and the like. They were NOT EASY TO SET and it usually took a typesetter a lot of time to do these ads and to get them right especially when they had to retype the whole thing off a salesperson�s scrawl.

Ah, the good old days!
