Description

SUPER COOL original cover artwork for Black Diamond #5 (Americomics, 1984) by fan favorite Paul Gulacy (pencils and inks). This great cover features a terrific underwater image of the beautiful Tiana (Sybil Danning inspired character) as she braces herself to to battle with an attacking Great White Shark - its maw fully agape to devour her.

Black Diamond was originally conceived as a possible movie franchise that would star Grindhouse actress Sybil Danning as the high fashion model, Tiana who travels the world for her glamorous profession. She is then recruited to become a secret agent (a female version of James Bond 007) for the international law enforcement agency, Infocom Three. When the movie did not get produced, Americomics (AC), an early long-lasting independent comic book publisher, picked up the concept and published it as a comic book series.

This is fully glamorous Good Girl Art wonderfully infused with intense pulse-pounding dramatic battle action by one of the most talented artists to come out of the 1970-80's. YA, BABY!

Artwork is in excellent condition on heavy board with an image size of approx. 10.5" x 15." Signed by Gulacy. Excellent stat work done by James Pascoe.
