Cranboyz 2017: The Silver Age

When I began my Spider-man sketchbook, I was fortunate enough to jump start it with a sketch of Spider-man by industry legend Mike Wieringo. I was visiting with Todd Dezago and Craig Rousseau during the convention, and glanced over to find Mike's brother, Matt, working on a convention sketch. For some reason, it never occurred to me to Matt for a sketch before. With the year's sketch theme in mind, I thought it would be a good idea to ask Matt for a sketch of Spidey, as a companion piece to his brother's sketch. Matt agreed to the sketch, however his busy schedule on Sunday kept him from completing the sketch. He offered to do a sketch for me at home, and mail it to me when he was done. The result is this fantastic sketch, in which I can see inspiration from his brother Mike and John Romita, Sr. Very cool addition to my collection!
