Denys Wortman - Metropolitan Movies - Girls at Beach - WWII - 1942

In this wonderfully drawn Metropolitan Movies from September 2, 1942, one girl is taking a picture of her friend with a box camera, with the poser saying, "After you take my picture I'll take yours -- and I'll send them both to Phil. 'Cause it wouldn't help his morale any if he kept wondering who took my picture." Phil is obviously the boyfriend who is serving in the military during WWII.

Wortman redrew and pasted down about half of this drawing, though it's difficult to tell even on the original. I love seeing the process show in works like this.
