Prime #7 Page 1 - Norm Breyfogle

A really cool title splash from Prime by Norm Breyfogle. The actual Prime figure was created on a separate piece of bristol board before it was cut out and pasted onto the board with the stat of the earth. If you hold the piece up to the light, you can see that there is another illustration of Prime under the new figure. Based on what can be seen, I'd guess that Breyfogle was unhappy with how the original version came out, but didn't want to have to redo the earth stat. So he redrew the central image and pasted it over the original, adding lots of white paint and ink to blend the whole thing together.

Anyway this illustration is of "Space Prime", the version of Prime that was needed so that the character could travel to the moon and investigate a phenomenon that leads to the first major Ultraverse cross-over event "Break-Thru".
