Davis is famous for his caricatures, humor and over the top horror stylings, but along with the aerial action at the bottom of the page, the way he handles the despondency of the main character in the first three panels shows he had a full range of storytelling skills.

Those airplane battle panels are very cool, but I am most impressed by the quietly devastating first panel. Congrats on a great Jack Davis pick-up!
