Description

This is a pro bono I did for a friend on Facebook in between juggling commissions. Her name is Janet Michelle and is an amateur fashion model. This was a challenge because it's one of the first tries at a Latin fleshtone. This is on 9 x 12" Bienfang and incorporates mixed media. I'm proud of my work on the hair and the eyes. I accomplished the softness of the hair on the shoulder by using PC 935 Prismacolor, which is basically black. It conveyed the gentility of the strands better than the micron blacks I used for the rest of her locks. I also went that route by using the black pencil for her eyeliner and eyebrows.
