Description

This character had a great debut in the "Steranko" issues of the X-Men, but didn't really come into her own until "Dave Cockrum" redesigned her in the mid-70's.Cockrum did some of the best costumes designs of the era, and this one was quite a stunner.This piece is drawn on old DCcomics paperstock-11x17-(circa' 1986),and has been in the possession of Jimmy Palmiotti since 92'-( he was going to put out a pinup book , which sadly never happened).The piece was pencilled by me, the figures inked by Mark, and the background was done by me with lots of patches of zipatone.

Nice piece. Cockrum designed some of the most iconic costumes that have stood the test of time. Looks like Beachum's inks were quite overpowering here
