Description

As a promotion for the Superman-Batman movie General Mill's cereals put had four 20-page 5x7" comic books inside boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios, Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puff's, Trix, and Golden Grahams.

The interiors of the comics were done by DC artists (issue #1: Playground Heroes by Jeff Parker, R.B. Silva & Jose Marzan Jr.; issue #2: Field Trip by Christos Gage, Federico Dallocchio; issue #3: Picture Proof by Marguerite Bennett, Marcus To; issue #4 Lights Out by Joshua Williamson, Eduardo Pansica, Art Thilbert) but they all had great covers by Gary Frank.

This is an unpublished cover from that series. The piece is all Frank, and features Ben Affleck's Batman prominently as a design element.
