Description

Published in G.I. Combat #156 (October-November, 1972), "The Crowded Coffin" must have been the first "Bob Kanigher's Gallery of War" produced. Underneath the logo is a different hand drawn logo that has the words printed on a battle flag. Below the flag is a caption that reads; "Can the dead speak of the murderous fury of war which killed them? Can survivors claw their way back from the brink of hell to rant of the horrors of combat? Can top secret documents reveal dark corners of war left buried until now? Here, for the first time, are tales of the insanity of warfare bursting their bloody bonds of silence!"
