Description

Blazing Bow, a.k.a. Roy Begay, is from the second Earth in Universe-27. This is a version of Roy Harper who is Navajo by blood and was never adopted by Oliver Queen. He stayed with Raymond Begay, a.k.a. Brave Bow, in the Navajo reservation in Oljato, Arizona.

Brave Bow (that was not his superhero name, but the white press treated it as such) was the Green Arrow figure of this Earth and a founding member of the Secret Seven, its first JLA team. When Brave Bow died, Roy eventually took his place as the "Green Arrow" character and is a founder of the Justice Syndicate alongside several others who were connected to the Secret Seven.

His daughter, Lian Begay, goes by the name Sunbeam in the Super-Stars. Her mother is Jade Nguyen, an assassin dubbed the Queen of Hearts. Roy is married to Donna Troy, a.k.a. Etain. Together they have a daughter named Phoebe.

This Roy is a plainclothes hero like his dad was, save for the domino mask which he added for effect. Having been a scrawny kid when he was young, he bulked up in every sense of the word out of a desire to protect those he cared about like Brave Bow taught him. He works as a forest ranger like his birth father did. Rather than being a self-admitted hound dog, he's considered "The Mom Friend" of the Justice Syndicate.
