Description

Created by Kurt Busiek and James W. Fry The Liberty Project was originally published in June 1987 by Eclipse. The Liberty Project was one of my favorite titles by the now defunct company.

The premise of the series mirrored that of D.C.s Suicide Squad and was just as entertaining. Although there were only eight issues the series had a great flow until the final issue of the series which felt rushed. I believe this was due to sudden cancellation of the series.

The Liberty Project was reprinted in a black and white trade format. If you can I highly recommend hunting down the series at your local comic shop or ebay.

I was happy to pick up this page as it features all the main powered characters from the series in action. The inks by Doug Hazlewood really shine here, especially on Crackshot hair in the fourth panel.
