Description
I love this painting and I consider it the artist’s swan song. I love the way he renders all the textures like the leaves and the wood. The colors and hughes are especially nice throughout. The only other painted art I own are the Greg Gallo and Bill Sienkiewicz pieces in my gallery and I'd love to make this my third. I know it's a longshot, but if anybody knows the whereabouts to this painting, please let me know. I will pay a finders fee!! I’m also willing to throw in a 12 pack of Miller beer, and a case of Campbell soup (soup’s so good isn’t it? It just slides over your adams apple.) I realize it may be many a dark knight before I ever see this piece. Guess I'll have to hope all my watchmen out there keep their eyes peeled for me! Thanks!

I WILL PAY A FINDERS FEE FOR SUCCESSFUL ACQUISITION OF ANY PIECE OF ART!

These books were great! I can see why you would want to get the covers. Just hope I don't find them first :-)

To me this, and other paintings from the era, represent the Golden Age of Fantasy Illustration. Nowadays it's so difficult to even find a Middle-Earth illustration that isn't based on the movies. It used to be wonderful see artists interpretations. now it's just boring.

Funnily, the author of this series HATED these Darrell Sweet covers! I thought they were great, and were what made me pick up the books in the first place. When Sweet illustrated the cover for The Wounded Land, and we finally got a look at the protagonist's face, he was exactly as I pictured him..!!
