Description

Because of George's work on his "Olympians" series of graphic novels and because last Sunday marked the second anniversary of my best friend, Patricia J. Thompson's, death, I sought to get a Hestia sketch from George. Patricia considered herself a Hestian Feminist and I told George all about the Hestian/Hermean system she created on how the public and private spheres of thinking influence each other.

I also spoke to George about the possibility of his doing a book on Hestia for the series and brought up some ideas I'd be mulling over on her role in the hierarchy of the Greek Pantheon.

I also asked him to dedicate the sketch after Pat.
