DescriptionCompare the art with the scan of the paperback itself up above!This little beauty comes from the easel of famed paperback cover artist, Ron Lesser, best known for employing the "McGinnis Method" throughout the first half of his career. This was published as the cover to the 1962 novel, Only a Woman, authored by Francis Carco. It is a story of a passionate love affair between a young boy and the sexually mature servant girl who initiates him in the ways of physical love. Although Lesser painted hundreds of paperback covers during his career, his originals are relatively scarce. I myself own a handful, but altogether I don't think I've seen more than 20 or 30 of his vintage (1958-1969)originals surface.
