Description
I'm so old, I can remember classic Punisher stories back from before he started guest-starring in every single Marvel title, every single month in the early 1990's. This was one I remember well, as The Punisher goes undercover as a substitute teacher in a high school to deal with a student gang being controlled by the Kingpin. The first two pages show hoodlums acting out, and in seeming control of the high school, perfectly setting up the super-dramatic entrance of their new teacher.

"Winston has wrapped himself in a revolutionary mantle, embracing a radical fundamentalist movement. I'll show the little #*@!! religion."

There are really cool extensive pencil sketches on the back, and an overlay on top of the front, which notes "CAUTION - CRAYON WORK DO NOT SMUDGE!" The chalk writing on the chalkboard behind the Punisher was drawn on the artwork with white crayon and looks perfect! Seriously awesome.

Isn't Mr. Melchior a British guy?

Hilariously I was talking to Scott Williams about this page a couple of years ago. And here it is.
