Johnston and Magwood Mural Project Wall A

While not in sequence, this is one of a three-wall project that I began in March of 2018 for Johnston and Magwood Wheels and Tires, located at 700 Burmanthorpe Rd. in Mississauga, ON Canada. The property owner requested something dynamic and staying within the realm of race cars and representing one brand of tires per wall. What was once on this wall paled in comparison to this dynamic German Formula 1 I googled and revamped. I even went so far as to include members of the staff on this wall with both their permission and their preferences. I even had their assistant be the driver. Rendered in acrylic paint with some accents via an oil paint pen, I strove for photorealism and eye-catching visuals. I even through in Canadian touches such as the Tim Hortons Iced Coffee one of the mechanics is enjoying at the far left. Given that this was in the work area, they were gracious enough to move the tire machines aside for me to work, which took a month and two weeks working around their hours.
