Description

Ok if you've read any of my other descriptions, this is a pretty straightforward one as I've always been passionate about supporting Asian artists in every way I can. While there is only a few notable Asian artists in the comic book industry, there is even fewer prominent Asian characters in the storytelling side.

This caught my eye as I was browsing through the works of Brian Ching. His works on Witchblade caught my eye and I was digging through CAF to find something that moved me. Of course the traditional pieces and covers were beautiful, but I can't say Witchblade has ever been one of my favorites as I was more into the Darkness camp.

I recalled finding a sketch of the Chinese Witchblade first from a fellow CAF member but then to find that he had also owned the first appearance splash of this character. The danger of this hobby is that most of the time, you may think you know what you're looking for or what you want, but you can't control what actually moves you. This piece was one that moved me in a way that felt like an overdue statement for the media industry.

As I write this, I do hope one day, the Chinese Witchblade returns.
