Lair of the White Witch

This is another stunning 36" x 48" oil on canvas interior illustration for the book Bloodstone, originally published in 1975 and written by Karl Edward Wagner and re-published by Centipede Press in 2016. The piece is titled "Lair of the White Witch" and is a magnificent interpretation of the immortal Jhaniikest, who makes a brief appearance at the beginning of the story. I bought this piece from Patrick J. Jones at the 2016 Illuxcon. I couldn't bare the thought of Lair of the White Witch and Kane being separated. Once I had them home, I spent a good deal of time finding the perfect gothic frames to house these two paintings.
