One Small Step sketches by Andrew Chesworth & Bobby Pontillas, Burbank 2018

      I started seeing news of One Small Step a couple months ago and saw the short at the official Taiko Studios Vimeo site. Chinese American girl Luna watches a rocket launch as a child and dreams of becoming an astronaut. She is supported by her devoted father Chu. Taiko Studios includes former Disney staff including the short's directors Andrew Chesworth and Bobby Pontillas. Taiko Studios was set up at the CTNX Animation Expo in Burbank, CA. They had The Making of One Small Step book, posters, postcards, tee shirts, pinback buttons, and other merchandise. I bought the book and caught up to the two directors who sketched and signed the book. To see One Small Step on the big screen, keep an eye out for the Animation Show of Shows touring the country now.
