DescriptionThis is page #27 (the inside back cover) from the underground/indy comic "Freak N Maniacs" from Monkey Pants Comics. The comic was written by Joe Winowiecki (who also provided page layouts) and illustrated by Scott Meaney (http://www.artofscottmeaney.com), also known for illustrating the graphic novel Constellation Park. The comic (see alternate pic for cover) had a print run of 1000 copies and came out in 2003. It features professional wrestlers Crowbar (also known as Devon Storm) who competed in WCW and WWE; Dangerous Johnny Diamond (who competed in the WWE); and well-known indy wrestler Masked Maniac. This rear cover features fake trading cards of some of the background characters from the book. The published work has digital lettering rather than the hand lettering shown on the art (see alternate photo for the final printed version of the page). The page is signed by both members of the creative team -- Scott Meaney (art) and Joe Winowiecki (writer/layouts). Social/Sharing |
