Penarddun - Llyr

A beautiful painting from Ian Daniel's Faerie Enchanter's Grimoire book. The male figure in the painting is her husband Llyr - he is of the family of Gods of the sea and darkness in Celtic myth, while she is of the Gods of Light - their marriage unites the forces darkness and light - night and day. This uniting of warring families is reminiscent of a Romeo/Juliet theme. Ian has written up some symbolism to the story in his Faerie Grimoire (see Penarddun in the list of Deities in the second half of the book)
