Description
This jam art was split between Motor City Comic Con and Michigan Comic Con of 2018, with inks and finishes being done in February 2019. Many of the participants are indie artists local to Michigan, backstopped by three major-league comic veterans.

The lineup is as follows:

Jake Minor - layout, Prince Adam/He-Man
Matthew Minor - Keldor/Skeletor
Arvell Jones - Kronis the Trap Jaw
Kyler Clodfelter - Tri-Klops
Eric Whalen - Mer-Man
Will Jones - Raqquill the Beast Man
Mike DeCarlo - Faker
Chris Ehnot - Evil-Lyn
Drew Geraci - inks and backgrounds

For this jam, we decided to throw in a little tip of the hat to the 1987 MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE movie. Normally Faker (He-Man's Bizarro double, a combination of robotics and magic) wears the same clothing as Skeletor, albeit in orange. For a massive group shot like this, that wasn't going to fly. However, William Stout and Moebius had designed a really villainous-looking costume and sword for Dolph Lundgren's He-Man that Mattel very rightly rejected. (Stout to this day still takes Mattel's disapproval as a personal insult.) But while the Stout/Moebius design was completely wrong for He-Man...it's a great look for one of his enemies. So with just a little tweaking, it became Faker's makeover.

This jam was such a fun experience that I plan to do it again. A Superman jam is currently in its early stages, and I absolutely intend to do another He-Man jam down the road. Everyone involved brought their best to this commission, and it turned out to be a fun showcase of local Michigan talent!
