As I acquired this painting, I found myself suddenly realizing how rarely we see oceanscape pieces like this in comics. Esad remarkably captures this moment in time.

This is easily one of my favorite paintings by Ribic. Even though the subject matter is not something that speaks to me, the art does. I love the tighter nature of this art so much more than most of the looser painted pieces he does. I would love to see him adopt this style more frequently. Great piece – congrats!

Big swill on. I imagine the sailors are merely seasick and resting in bottom of boat. Surely Conan has not harmed them them in any way.

Generally I have a hard time with Ribic's art because of the lack of line and light tones - but this one is a real masterpiece!!
