DescriptionSpeaking of failed Heritage sessions, afterwards I decided to really concentrate on trying to get some Bryan Hitch artwork - The Authority Vol. 1 is one of my favorite series. Sometimes - being nice, persistent, and polite gets you exactly where you need to be.A confluence of events resulted in a very happy Monday for me. Two purchases, made almost a month apart from different countries, both showed up at my door today (with the same mail-person to boot), and both are spectacular. Here I present #1, literally. A very kind gentleman on CAF responded to an email query, and we were able to come to an easy, amiable deal, and voila! Jack Hawksmoor examines the aftermath of the first attack by Gamorra in Moscow. I particularly love the panel showing Jack moving through the city. This is a very special page to me, and I am very grateful to the seller for parting with it. Part II follows -> Social/Sharing |

You don't think your time would be better served with comments on other pieces of art, say those not owned by you?

Dammit James, now this is going to pop on the most commented thred and then people will come here expecting to see something special and instead they'll find this self-serving nonsense. It's not even a DPS!!!!!

I think it's a little weird when someone comments too much on their own art, but I know M L is a nice person, so I'm assuming he must just have a lot of envious imitators.

Did I say nice? I meant Mikail has a fantastic collection of original art that includes a nice mix of published and commissioned artworks, including 46 Covers from many of the top names in comics from Alex Ross, Gabriele Dell'Otto, Adam Hughes and Tony Daniel. Mikail has been a CAF member for over 3 years and has shared over 250 artworks on the site from his collection, with more than 180 creators represented in total - the definition of a well balanced Comic Art Collector!

There's no balance in these here comments though.
