Description
An early Hama/Silvestri Wolverine title page.

This single-issue story returns Logan to Canada and introduces Sgt. Doolin and the Hunter in Darkness, who appears 12 issues later when Emmy Doolin tries to avenge her dad’s death.

This is a good one-page monologue before the trouble starts. The story begins with six characters – half are dead by the end. Reads like hard-boiled men’s fiction to the 1990 target audience.

Marc Silvestri’s name is misspelled in the credit box – pointed out on the letters page in the following issue. “Buffalo Woods State Park” exists as Wood Buffalo National Park – pointed out on issue #37 letters page, amid glowing praise for this story.

It's pre-Weapon X and the Halloween issue, based on bullpen pages.

Publication Date: December 1990.

I owned this. Traded it to the below who auctioned it! Did you win that auction? I was bidding heavily lol  if you ever want to trade it!?

Once I had a talk with CAF member Tatyana Dykes and Brandon Peterson who asked me who I thought was the inker who best fitted Silvestri's pencils. I hadn't thought about him at first but I think this kind of page is a good example that Dan Green will remain the best answer for me.

Great page. Congrats.

This page is a died-in-the-wool, stone-cold classic.  Silvestri at his best.  I like the ample praise for Dan Green here, too.  He is an excellent inker, who covered a wide range of pencillers with great skill; from Nick Napolitano, to JRJR to Don Heck to George Perez to Herb Trimpe on Godzilla.  All found on this site.
