Description16.54" x 11.69" (A3) copic Markers, ink, prismacolor pencils, gel pen and gouache paint on 185 GSM watercolour paperWhen you commission an artist who is beloved by one of Hollywood's most prominent directors (George Lucas) you would be surprised to find such an outgoing and humble creator like Mark at the other end. He is one of the most unassuming artists I might have ever commissioned, who was a real pleasure interacting with and when we were discussing the piece his response showed a real consideration you don't always find: "Rachael was never happy in the movie so what I tried to capture was an arc of emotions - her apprehension when she enters Deckard's apartment and then her more pensive or peaceful repose when she was about to play the piano." I think his thoughtfulness really shines through and my advice if you have the opportunity to commission Mark - do it! He even provides a note on proper framing with the artwork, which just goes to show how much he cares for the work he is putting out into the world. Social/Sharing |
