I had been hearing a lot about Tradd's art with the tagline being 'you gotta see it to believe it', so I decided to pick up a few pages to take a look myself.

Holy Mackerel, I was not disappointed. This is first of 2 pages I got from Felix - I choose this one for the detail.

The first thing that jumps out is just how CLEAN his work is. You cannot see the pencils and I don't think there is any correction on either page.

The second thing is the detail - it's everywhere. The shopkeeper's face is simply epic.

Third, the artistic review of every aspect of the page.

I will definitely be keeping an eye on this artist, and I'll definitely be eyeing a commission in the future. Enjoy!

Fantastic write up, M L, and you are not joking about the detail. Good grief! As much treasure to pore through as in one of its real-world counterparts... Price tags, fans, gramophones, toy monsters... I'm just glad Tradd has not figured out how to infuse his originals with the _smell_ of the environs he depicts. Yet. At this point, that's about all there is left for him to conquer...

Terrific composition, and I love the "Spider-Fish" in the last panel (which made me think of a -highly- stylized, but TOTALLY cool, rendition of a California Sheephead). Love the style and atmosphere of this piece! Beautiful pick up! Congrats!

Sad to say I originally missed this one. Lots of wonderful details and love seeing all the music gear in that pawn shop!
