DescriptionAwesome swinging Spidey cel & matching drawing from another of the Japanese animated, Marvel produced cartoons animated by TOEI Douga in Japan. This one is from episode 1 of season 2 titled " The Origin of Iceman" which featured Videoman. I never seen another cel from this particular episode so it's definitely a grail for me. I now have cels from each of the 4 Japanese (highly superior) animated Spidey cartoons, so stoked to have this in my collection!![]() Social/Sharing |

Oh man, these cels take me back! And if there was one from the series to have it's this one with a large swingin' Spidey! AND from the first episode of the series. Great get, Tommy - nostalgia overload! Congrats!

Geez, what an amazing moment to capture on a cel! Where I live, I clearly remember this episode would get repeated more often than than any other one. Don't know why. I enjoyed it, but I would get so pissed off every time it came on again because I so desperately wanted to see the X-Men episode again and that episode was rarely repeated!

Yeah, season 2 only had 3 episodes, Origin of Icemen, A Firestar is born and Along came of Spidey and I guess they just played those 3 over and over during that season in the early 80's. I remember "Angelica Jinx" the most and that one annoyed me but they were also the best animated in the entire series!
