A super cool vintage Moon Knight sketch by then & now superstar artist Stephen Platt.

Stephen’s star skyrocketed to popularity during his short six issues run on Moon Knight, a dying title then making those issues ultra-hot due to low print (according to Wizard anyway).

This full figure sketch was drawn during the second part of his run in 1994. I haven’t seen many vintage Platt sketches so I was delighted to buy this one, lost in a group of sketches by “various” on Heritage. My first Heritage purchase actually and quite a deal (remember those?) considering the peaking curve that all of Platt originals have followed in the last few years. Yes, his art is scarce.

Quite pleased by this one that has it all. A defiant and over bulky MK complete with a (awkwardly drawn) full moon. Pure Platt in pure pencil!
