One of the great strips from the early 1970's...the 1st to feature a "black" female lead character. Friday Foster came just slightly before the "blaxploitation" films of the era, before Helen Reddy sang " I am Woman", before "Pam Grier", before even "Get Christie Love" debuted on TV, and she knocked down quite afew doors & barriers to the popular "mainstream".---big thanks to Tim & www.RogerClarkArt.com

And for those who don't know, Pam Grier played the character in the movie adaptation of the comic a couple years later.
